For eight years, matt slagle has laboured as one half of the new york-based electro-industrial act SIDE 3, pushing the boundaries of performance and sound to breathe new life into a genre which has become a breeding ground for mediocrity.

With an explanation of the past, his first proper release as a solo instrumental artist, matt showcases his talents at composing music not easily defined by a genre tag. although this is undoubtfully an ‘industrial music’ album, matt has skillfully woven a soundtrack to a journey where he combines elements of any number of electronic subgenres and comes out on the other side with something unique and personal. dark and menacing, an explanation of the past is also imbued with an atmosphere of self-discovery acheived through musical exploration.
